Baawaja Expeditions – Ñape Lodge, is a private company owned by the Native Community of Infierno in Tambopata, Puerto Maldonado, which was founded with the mission of promoting eco-tourism, research and activities related to conservation, through Tambopata Tours.

The members of the community, will be your guides, so that you live an unforgettable experience and can truly connect with nature.

Our well located Amazon eco lodge in the Tambopata River, in the Peruvian Amazon, inside of our private communal reserve with almost 9.5k hectares protected by decades, will allow you to have an authentic experience with nature. We have the Tambopata National Reserve in our backyard.

By taking one of our expeditions you will have the opportunity to experience the Amazonian rainforest through the most popular activities in the area, but also making a truly connection with our community sharing our traditions, culture and leaving a positive impact.

Guides with Experiences

The native community, veil by the education of their children, many of them will be our guides, who besides having studies and more than 10 years of experience, with generations of knowledge of our beloved jungle.

Connection with Nature

Our guide will explain why the traditions of the native community, the meaning of the dances and the meaning of colors in their clothes, and ancestral customs, such as why some species of animals are respected by the community.

Our Location

On our left side is the majestic Tambopata river, on the right side is the Tambopata National Reserve. Only 15 minutes by boat is a parrot colpa formed by the Tambopata River and a few steps away from the Ese’ Eja Infierno Native Community.
